The area around Lakeland Community College has many places to visit, eat and stay at. There are over 140 restaurants in Mentor alone. For the golfers, there are several public golf courses in the area. If you are staying at the Renaissance Inn Quail Hollow, you can golf at the private Quail Hollow CC PGA courses.

There is plenty of shopping available with many area shops and the Great Lakes Mall in Mentor. Visit the historic downtown section of Willoughby for shopping, dining, and socializing.

Just south of the college is the Kirtland Temple. The Kirtland Temple was the first house of worship for the followers of Joseph Smith, Jr., who founded the Latter Day Saint movement (Mormons).

If you have not seen a great lake yet, head to Headlands State Park, where you can swim, picnic or just walk the mile long sandy beach. It is the longest beach on Lake Erie in Ohio.
